THE LIGHT OF CHRISTMAS

This is the season for lights on the tree,

And colorful lights on the houses you see,

Light from a candle, lights in the snow,

Christmas lights shining wherever you go.

It's the Light of Christmas that shines in each heart

For a world in shadow it shines in the dark.

Like the lights in the heavens the night of His birth

When the Light of Christmas was born to the earth.

 

Light from a star on that night long ago

Shining in radiant, heavenly glow

To welcome the Savior, the Light of the World,

Bringing peace and good will through His life and His word.

He's the Light of Christmas that shines in each heart

For a world in shadow He shines in the dark.

Like the lights in the heavens the night of His birth

When the Light of Christmas was born to the earth.

 

So, shine on and light up the world

And show just how bright it can be.

Your kindness and love can bring peace on the earth

And your light will help others to see
